Children’s Book Story Endings & Story Closings
- And they lived happily ever after.
- And if they didn’t live happily ever after, …
- This is my tale, …
- And this is how the story ends.
- And now the story is yours.
- …well, wouldn’t you?
- And that’s what he did from then on.
- And I hope you do too!
- This is what I’d been told when I was a child…
- The moral of the story is quite simple: …
- And that was the end of it.
- But the journey isn’t over yet…
- If you don’t believe me, go see for yourself.
- And that’s the way my grandma told me.
- What a day that was!
- What a story that was!
- …before it disappeared completely.
- It was all just a dream. Or was it?
- In fact, if I hadn’t been there myself, I never would have believed it.
- And I remember it to this day.
- And they ate and drank, and were merry and of good cheer, …
- They feasted and they drank, and if the story hadn’t ended there, I’d still be with them instead of here talking to you.
- And they never did that again.
- And if she could, she’d do it again!
- And the last person to tell that story…. is standing here before you!
- Now, the old man handed the tune down to his children, and his children to their children, and the old people taught it to me.
